Project Graduation 2010 presents the 4th annual March Madness Basketball Tournament.  It will be held here on March 16th, 18th and 19th at 6pm.  All students AND STAFF are eligible to play.  Teams must have 10 players on their team.  The first 8 teams to pay will be allowed to play in the games.  The fee is $10 per player.  There will also be half-time events to win prizes.  Please see Miss Web right away to sign up.  Come out and be part of the excitement.

The DEADLINE FOR Kaleidoscope submissions is approaching.  All short stories, poems, essays, photographs and artwork needs to be submitted to Mr. Berry NO LATER than today. Any student wishing to submit their work for consideration needs to do so IMMEDIATELY.

GSA is sponsoring a Guitar Hero Competition with Mike & Madeline tonight from 6-9pm in the cafeteria.  The cost is $5 – tickets are on sale during lunch.

Do you have a friend or classmate who will be performing in this year’s Drama Club production, “Into the Woods”?  Show that you support them by purchasing a one-line message that will be printed in the show’s program!  The cost is only $5!  Drama reps will be seated outside the cafeteria today and Wednesday, March 10th.  Put a smile on someone’s face and send them a message of support.  Thank you.

Student Council is hosting their annual blood drive on Friday, March 12th in the large gym.  Students must be 17 years of age and meet certain weight requirements.  If you’d like to volunteer to give blood, you can sign up outside the cafeteria on non-CAPT days and in the main lobby from 7-7:30 on CAPT days.  Remember, when you give blood, you have the potential to save up to three lives –so give the gift of life –give blood.

The new date for the Winter Semi-formal is Saturday, March 20th from 7-10:30pm in the cafeteria.  Tickets will go on sale during all four lunches the week of March 15th.  The theme will remain “Tropical Paradise.”

Attention cast of Into The Woods – rehearsals this week will be held in the Art Room at the scheduled times.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for your Drama decals.

Attention Model UN participants – reimbursement for the NYC trip is available from Mrs. Genzano in room 219. 

There will be an indoor track meeting today for all members regarding the banquet.  The meeting will be after school in-between the gyms.

A reminder to all staff and students regarding the “Open Your Heart, Feel How I Roll” event
·      All participants must be listed on the team roster form
·      Each team must select one team member to be the participant in the wheelchair for March 26th.
·      All forms, the team roster form, all pledge forms for each team member and a minimum pledge total of $100 per team is due in the main office by March 12th. 
·      Each team is responsible for creating one awareness poster about the event.

Attention sophomores and juniors retaking the Science CAPT – the following strand review sessions will be held next week:
1      Monday, March 8 – Strand 4-Cell Chemistry & Biotechnology in room 121.
1      Wednesday, March 10-Strand 5-Genetics, Evolution and Biodiversity in room 114.
The sessions will begin promptly at 2:10 and conclude at 2:40.
